FCTV Exclusive: Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and statistics show that one in eight women will get some form of breast cancer in their lives. We talked with Dr. Lyla Blake of the Community Health Center of Cape Cod, who discusses the importance of early detection, treatment, and to raise awareness to cut those numbers down. Dr. Blake says most women with an average risk should schedule yearly mammograms starting at age 40 unless there is a family history. Talk to your provider for the best plan of action.
