On a summer much like this one, a mere 150 years ago, Falmouth received a new arrival that changed the population, the institutions, the economy and even the very architecture of our homes. Every year the Falmouth Road Race brings out thousands of runners to participate in the race and many of them choose to run for charities as part of the “Numbers for Nonprofits” program. We spoke with some of these runners before the race. Since 2000 the Falmouth road race has helped to raise over $50 million for great causes.
