The Falmouth Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting & a public hearing on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the following:

REQUESTS FOR DETERMINATION OF APPLICABILITY

Eva Nilsen, 94 Oyster Pond Road, Falmouth, MA – For permission to control Common Reed (Phragmites australis) using the cut & drip method and the absorbent glove method.

Jo Ann Barnes, 83 Nantucket Avenue, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to demolish the existing house and construct a new house with proposed walkways, dry wells, septic modifications including a 1500 gal septic tank, grass driveway to remain and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

Jewett Realty Trust Number Three, across from 33 Penzance Road, Woods Hole, MA – For permission to remove three dead trees and replace with three eastern red cedar trees.


REQUESTS FOR HEARINGS UNDER A NOTICE OF INTENT

John Parker Lakeside Village Condominium, 35 Parker Road, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to improve the existing access to Flax Pond with a 4-ft wide crushed stone or paver landings, replace timber stairs with an Allen Block Stair System, loam and seed adjacent to walkway, to obtain after-the-fact permission to reconstruct a concrete block retaining wall and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

CONTINUED HEARINGS UNDER A NOTICE OF INTENT

Coleen Paratore, 71 Quashnet Way, Waquoit, MA – For permission to raze the existing dwelling and construct a new 3-bedroom single-family house with attached garage, deck, install walkways, a retaining wall, driveway, utilities, native mitigation plantings, remove trees, the existing septic tank and replace with a 1500 gal tank and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

REQUESTS FOR HEARINGS UNDER AN ABBREVIATED NOTICE OF RESOURCE AREA DELINEATION

Old Main LLC, 96 Old Main Road (Map 05-02-030-000) and Old Main Road (Map 05-02-029-001 & Map 05-02-023-000), North Falmouth, MA - Request for confirmation of the following wetland resource area boundaries: Bordering Vegetated Wetland (BVW) and two Isolated Vegetated Wetlands (IVWs)/Isolated Lands Subject to Flooding.
