The Falmouth Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting & a public hearing on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the following:

REQUESTS FOR DETERMINATION OF APPLICABILITY

Wayne Justason, 29 Miami Avenue, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to pump, fill and abandon the existing cesspool and install a new Title 5 sewage disposal system.

Roberta Hutchinson, 77 Gifford Street, Falmouth, MA – For permission to pump, fill and abandon the existing cesspool and install a new Title 5 sewage disposal system, install a second-story dormer and outdoor shower.

Salt Pond Area Bird Sanctuaries, Inc., 0 Gunning Point Avenue (Map 37-06-000-000) and 43 Gunning Point Avenue, Falmouth, MA - For permission to remove and relocate several stones within the existing stone groin to open lateral public access along rocky coastal beach with no existing vegetation to be disturbed.

Donna Sbardella, 38 Deer Run Lane, North Falmouth, MA- For permission to remove the existing deck and build a new 10-ft x 60-ft deck that extends over the existing patio with no expansion of impervious footprint.

Daniel Fairbanks, 62 Penzance Road, Woods Hole, MA – For permission to temporarily repair the existing dock by adding six (6) 12-inch diameter pilings driven next to the existing bents with pilings to be used for future dock reconstruction project.

Department of Public Works – Engineering Division (c/o Scott Schluter), Old Barnstable Road (from the west junction of Old Meeting House Rd and Old Barnstable Rd west to Carriage Shop Road), East Falmouth, MA – For permission to repave Old Barnstable Road that includes the roadway and curbing and to install new catch basin drainage structures outside resource areas to mitigate stormwater runoff currently flowing into resource areas.

REQUESTS FOR HEARING UNDER A NOTICE OF INTENT

Donald & Nancy Colleran, 11 Foster Road, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to remove existing pilings from a dilapidated bulkhead, wood remnants from an old boardwalk, large rocks and the associated clearing, excavating and landscaping.

Robert Ouimette, 17 Foster Road, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to remove existing pilings from a dilapidated bulkhead, wood remnants from an old boardwalk, large rocks and the associated clearing, excavating and landscaping.

CONTINUED REQUESTS FOR HEARING UNDER A NOTICE OF INTENT

Comcast, North Central Division & NSTAR Electric Company, Surf Drive (Map 47-02-017-002A), Falmouth, MA – For permission to install a 4.5 mile long submarine hybrid cable across Vineyard Sound from Falmouth to Tisbury that includes installation of an 8-ft x 16-ft approach pit for drilling, a 6-ft wide x 14-ft long x 8-ft deep manhole, a 3-ft x 3-ft Comcast manhole, an 80-ft long trench for a fiber optic cable within 2 to 4-inch conduits to run north then east underneath Mill Road to connect to existing NSTAR infrastructure via new and existing ductbanks and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

Chapoquoit Associates (c/o Jonathan Harley), 20 & 26 Associates Road, West Falmouth, MA – For permission to maintain and repair approximately 277 linear feet of an existing licensed stone pier that includes clearing for construction access, temporary excavation of coastal dune adjacent to the stone jetty, cleaning, filling voids, mortaring, grouting and pointing both the eastern & western sides of the jetty, widening of the existing concrete walkway, handrail installation, dune restoration, restoration with native plantings and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

The Gold Family Realty Trust (c/o David Peterson), 236 Acapesket Road, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to construct a house additions, rebuild the existing deck, construct a porch, install dry wells, native mitigation plantings and restoration plantings and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

Robert Rotondi, 92 Edgewater Drive East, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to renovate and expand the existing single-family house with two new additions, deck expansion, reconfigure the driveway and expand parking, to install a covered portico, sidewalk, retaining walls, AC units, utilities, dry wells, native mitigation plantings, to repair and expand the existing dock and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping

REQUEST TO AMEND THE EXISTING ORDER OF CONDITIONS

New Silver Beach Association, 160 Silver Beach Avenue, 15, 17, 19 Moses Road, 0 Moses (Map 04A-41-000-093C; Map 04A-41-000-093B; Map 04A-41-000-093A; Map 04A-41-000-096; Map 04A- 41-000-097; Map 04A-41-000-098; Map 04A-41-093D; Map 04A-41-000-093E), North Falmouth, MA – Request to amend the existing Order of Conditions (DEP 25-3835) to remove the restriction that beach cleaning can only be done on a monthly basis to allow for cleaning to occur on a weekly basis.
