REQUESTS FOR DETERMINATION OF APPLICABILITY

 

Department of Public Works – Wastewater Management (c/o Amy Lowell), Surf Drive (Map 47-07-000A-000), Robbins Road (Map 46-02-000-001C), 20 Academy Lane, south end of Park Road, Falmouth, MA – For permission to remove a 550 gallon FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) fuel storage tank from a concrete underground vault adjacent to a municipal wastewater lift station at three locations and to clean a 550 gallon FRP tank, fill with cement slurry and leave in place. Work includes removal of fill to be stored in a truck, removal of pavement and re-paving in the same footprint, loam & seed at one site with erosion control and the removal and re-use or replacement of one tree.

 

Jeffrey Prichard, 174 Grand Avenue, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to remove the existing deck and replace in the same footprint along with the installation of 5 to 6 new footings.

 

REQUESTS FOR HEARINGS UNDER A NOTICE OF INTENT

 

Gansett Trust Trustees (c/o Jim Ware), Lot B, Gansett Road (Map 49-03-016-000B), Woods Hole, MA – For permission to replace 28 of the existing 12-inch pilings with 26 new green heart pilings 10-inches in diameter on the existing pier using a barge, to include a horizontal lift, the installation and removal of temporary support timbers, to restore coastal dune habitat on the property and the associated excavating, grading and landscaping.

 

Paul & Patricia Hogan, 112 Racing Beach Avenue, Falmouth, MA – For permission to maintain approximately 240 linear feet of existing riprap seawall using chink stones to fill the voids, the removal of unpermitted stone walkway area, the installation of native woody buffer plantings and dry wells and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

 

White Sands Association & Gregory Marcotte, 59 Davis Neck Road and south end of Davis Neck Road, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to nourish a 135-ft section of coastal beach by placing a maximum of 450 cubic yards of sand over a 3-year period that includes clearing an 8-ft wide construction access through Town of Falmouth right-of-way, restoration of vegetation and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping.

 

CONTINUED REQUESTS FOR HEARING UNDER A NOTICE OF INTENT

 

Black Beach Harbor Head Association, Little Neck Bars Road, Black Beach Hills Road, Gilbert Lane and Drift Road, West Falmouth, MA - For permission to implement proposed road maintenance and storm water management improvements that includes vegetated swales and addition of dense grade crushed stone, along approximately 1 mile of private gravel roads and the associated clearing, excavating, grading and landscaping

 

William McGann, 5 Foster Road, East Falmouth, MA – For permission to establish a 12-ft construction access route, completely remove the existing filter fabric and most existing riprap rocks and to reconstruct and expand the existing riprap revetment with new materials, the planting of beach grass, the replacement of any disturbed woody vegetated resource area buffer/resource area and the associated clearing, grading and landscaping.

 

CONTINUED REQUESTS TO AMEND THE EXISTING ORDER OF CONDITIONS

 

William McGann, 5 Foster Road, East Falmouth, MA – Request to amend the existing Order of Conditions (DEP 25-3535) to establish a 12-ft construction access route, the placement and grading of approximately 175 cubic yards of compatible sand on the front side of the coastal dune, the replacement of any disturbed woody vegetated resource area buffer/resource area with bayberry and the associated clearing, grading and landscaping.
