Public Channel 13 - Bringing Falmouth Home
Orson is a debonair tuxedo domestic short hair male. This fellow is between 6-7 years old and sports a gleaming black coat accented with white around his muzzle, chest and paws. He also has a full compliment of dashing white whiskers and stray white hairs on his body. Orson was left behind by his previous owner when she had to move. He is a bit shy, but again is quite the sweetheart and is an affectionate boy. This fellow turns into a love bug and purr-mobile if you just give him a little time to warm up. He is reported to be compatible with dogs.
The 300 Committee Land Trust has worked to permanently preserve and protect open space in Falmouth since 1985. FCTV took a walk at one of their more recent acquisitions, the Two Ponds Conservation Area. For more information on this and other projects, check out their website, 300committee.org.
We spoke to Bob Davis, the General Manager of the Steamship Authority, about the findings from last year’s comprehensive review. The Steamship Authority held a meeting at Falmouth High School to discuss the review with the public, and say they are dedicated to improving service to the islands.
In this episode of Falmouth in Focus, we check in on FCTV’s construction progress at the new Falmouth Community Media Center, take a walk through one of the 300 Committee’s most recent conservation projects, take a look at an organization whose mission is to house the homeless and much more.
