Inspiration is Everywhere is a Falmouth non-profit organization that believes that it can inspire a better world by expanding the ways in which people view the world artistically. Their primary focus is to reduce the amount of landfill waste through inspiring people to utilize recycled and upcycled art materials. Founder Samantha Bauer gives us some insight into the group’s mission.

FCTV Exclusive: Woods Hole Black History Month

Black History Month

Every year, members of the Woods Hole community come together to celebrate Black History Month. This year’s theme marks the 150th anniversary of the 15th amendment and the rights of black men to vote after the civil war. Lecturers will discuss the fight for the vote, equal rights and the many ways in which the black voice was silenced or destroyed altogether as black people attempted to cast their ballots.

For the past nine years, the Falmouth Jewish Congregation and the Waquoit Congregational Church have co-sponsored a wonderful charity event around the time of the NFL Championship, called, appropriately, the Soup - Er - Bowl. The event is a lunch, featuring homemade soup with bread and desserts, hence the name. We stopped by to see how it went.

On Monday, January 20th, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel was the site for the 13th Annual Martin Luther King Community Breakfast, hosted by No Place for Hate Falmouth. Dr. King’s legacy was honored by more than 300 guests, enjoying live music, song, and words from guest speaker Donique R. McIntosh.
