FCTV Exclusive: Teaticket Park Pollinator Meadow

The Three Hundred Committee has created a pollinator meadow full of native flowering plants to increase the overall productivity of the ecosystems at Teaticket Park. This meadow provides vital habitat and food sources for declining bee, butterfly and bird populations. On April 10th, the committee collaborated with local Girl Scouts to begin the annual planting and Falmouth In Focus was there.

FCTV Exclusive: Veterans' Food Distribution

The Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center has launched a new mobile food pantry program which visits Falmouth on the First and Third Tuesdays of the month. Partnering with the Falmouth AmVets Post 70 on Palmer Avenue, the Disabled American Veterans, the VFW, and Marty’s Chevrolet, veterans and their families will be able to pick up canned goods, meat, toiletries, and other necessities. If you know a veteran in need, help them contact the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center.

FCTV Exclusive: Highfield Hall Stickwork, A Look Back

The massive stickworks sculpture that adorned the front lawn at Historic Highfield Hall has been dismantled after captivating visitors for almost two years. The work was built by visionary sculptor Patrick Dougherty and his son, along with dozens of volunteers. We stopped by Highfield to take a look back at “A Passing Fancy”. We will bring you more on the new sculptures as they are installed later this year.

FCTV Exclusive: Aid to Ukraine

As the war in Ukraine continues, we have seen an outpouring of support from around the world for the growing refugee crisis and Falmouth is no exception. One Falmouth resident has taken up a large collection of badly needed supplies, packed them, and delivered them personally to Ukraine. We spoke with him shortly before he left.
