Paintings by Valerie Leri will be on display at the Maser Gallery at Falmouth Community Television from February 4 through March 1, 2018. The public is invited to an opening reception on Sunday, February 11, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.
Valerie Leri graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1982 and has been painting ever since. Living on Cape Cod, she is inspired by the ocean, beaches, ponds, marshes and beautiful fields and forests that surround her.
“I like to work more by feeling than technique, letting the painting in a sense “create itself” with myself as the conduit to the visual message. So it is therefore more about flow than form. Though I’ve worked with oils and watercolors, my favorite medium is acrylics” says Valerie. “There is no right way to interpret my art. My hope is that it is uplifting for the viewer.”
Her work has been featured in Cape Cod Home Magazine and can be viewed in various Cape Cod galleries, many online galleries, retail shops and arts organizations on Cape Cod and private collections on Cape Cod and throughout New England.
Maser Gallery Exhibit Hours: Sunday 12-8 pm; Monday, 2-10 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10 -10 pm; Friday 10-6 pm; Saturday, Closed.
