The Gallery at Falmouth Community Television features a different local artist every month, including opening receptions where you can meet the artist in person.
In addition, artists featured in the Gallery can be seen on Channel 13 on the program "This Month at The Gallery at FCTV."
Please note new gallery policy: All exhibiting artists must be members of FCTV.
With the build-out of the Falmouth Community Media Center’s Gallery at FCTV, we are excited to offer our artist community a new, vibrant exhibit space. Our artists have a unique opportunity to showcase their work, receive a video highlighting their exhibit and opportunities to show throughout the year. As you may know, FCTV is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to foster the production and distribution of local information. FCTV provides access to training, technology, and content to encourage community dialogue, awareness, and expression. This includes support for our creative economy here in Falmouth. For many years, we have been able to support our artists by taking a smaller commission than most galleries and no submission fees. While many of our exhibiting artists have been FCTV members, we realized that has not been the case consistently. With FCTV seeing a reduction in funding from our primary source, cable revenue, as a result of state and federal rule changes, combined with people leaving cable for other video platforms, we need to address this deficiency while also being fair and consistent by providing exhibit space to those we serve, our members. We invite you to support us with a small annual membership fee as we value and support your work in our new facility.
Why become a member of the Falmouth Community Media Center?
With your membership, you will be supporting the new and expanded Gallery at FCTV and helping to provide another local venue for area artists, artisans, and crafters. You may exhibit other times during the year with no studio rental fees, no submission fees, and take advantage of other great member benefits: workshops, classes, and seminars in all areas of video production, oral history, media literacy, computer skills, workforce development and more - all using state-of-the-art equipment - a full studio kitchen, and the latest digital programs.
