Poetic License "Virtual" Open Mic: Connecting in the Crisis

Falmouth Community Television continues it’s series of monthly open mic nights by hosting a “virtual” event using the Zoom Conferencing platform on Thursday, April 23rd, at 7:00 pm. Titled “Poetic License: Connecting in the Crisis”, the evening will be hosted by Falmouth poet Alice Kociemba, Founding Director of Calliope: Poetry for Community.

Members of the community are invited to participate and share their original poetry, story, comedy, spoken word or solo acoustic musical performance in a four-minute time slot, using the theme “Connecting in the Crisis”. Participants must pre-register by April 22nd by emailing Andrew Richards, Membership and Outreach Coordinator, at andrew@fctv.org.  Once registered, the participants will receive login information and additional suggestions for participating in a Zoom Conference.  Registrants will need access to a computer with internet access, webcam and microphone, or utilize a smartphone with the Zoom application installed. The event will be recorded and shown on FCTV Public Channel 13 and the FCTV YouTube Channel at a later date.
