March 2020 at the Gallery at FCTV

Artwork by students and instructors of the Cape Cod Collaborative Arts Network will be on display at the Gallery at FCTV from March 8 through April 1, 2020. The Gallery at FCTV is closed to the public due to the COVID-19 outbreak until March 31. Please see our main page for more info.

Cape Cod Collaborative Arts Network (CapeCodCAN) is pleased to present its first-ever collaborative show of artwork created by CapeCodCAN participants, presented alongside that of their instructors. Under the tutelage of local Cape Cod artists, students representing various organizations across Cape Cod learn to create art in a supportive environment that encourages exploration and creativity. The results are works in a variety of media and topics showcasing individual students’ creativity. Instructors represent diverse backgrounds and artistic styles, creating a show that is as varied and unique as the artists we represent.

Cape Cod Collaborative Arts Network (CapeCodCAN) provides opportunities for inclusion and active participation in the arts for people with unique talents and all abilities on Cape Cod. Through participation in the arts, people of varying abilities use their talents to express themselves and connect with others. Engaging in rewarding art experiences has a host of benefits, including improved social skills and increased self-confidence and self-awareness. Not only do participants gain inspiration from these programs, but so do our audiences.

Participating Artists and Organizations: Donna Rockwell, Ric Haynes, Barbara Perry, Anne Hitch, Jennifer Stratton, Celia Levy, Transitions, Inc., Engaged in Learning High School Program, LIFE Living Independently Forever, Inc., Community Connections, Inc., Barnstable Recreation Adult/Teen Program.
