Panel Discussion

International Women's Day was celebrated at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation with a Panel Discussion by Liz Rabideau, Co-Chair, Cape Women’s Coalition; Penny Dube, Co-founder, Cape Cod Women for Change; and Teri Cavanaugh, Board Member, WE CAN. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day marks a call to action for all groups of women in a strong growing movement of advocacy, activism, support and gender parity.

FCTV Exclusive - Coast Guard Station Woods Hole Construction Update

For some time there’s been discussion of upgrading the Coast Guard facility in Woods Hole and construction has recently begun, mainly focusing on demolishing older parts of the base and rebuilding them to keep them in line with the modern needs of the service. To better illustrate the dangers that the icy waters surrounding Cape Cod can possess throughout this time of year, FCTV talked with Ensign Nathan Mendez of the USCG Sector Southeastern New England who guided us through demonstrations of what can happen to the body when exposed to cold water temperatures.
