March 2009: "Falmouth Celebrates Art!" Art by Falmouth Students K-12th grades
The Falmouth Art Department presented an exhibition of kindergarten through twelfth grade student work at the Maser Gallery at Falmouth Community Television, 310 Dillingham Avenue, from March 1 - 27. An opening reception was held on: Wednesday, March 4, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
The show “Falmouth Celebrates Art!” is presented during Youth Art Month to promote and celebrate the importance of the arts in schools. The Arts broaden students’ thinking about ways of expression and communication. With the guidance of an art educator, students explore a range of materials, techniques, and historical references to expand their creativity, imagination, and self-expression.
The art work that was on display was a collection of techniques, themes, and approaches to drawing, painting, and photography and mixed media.
