OPERATION VALENTINE - FEB 5 at FCTV!

Falmouth Community Television invites Falmouth residents who have friends and loved ones away from home on military assignments to come to our studios on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 between 5:00 and 7:00pm to record a valentine message to show how much they’re missed and appreciated. Operation Valentine is FCTV’s way of opening our community media resources to acknowledge the many Falmouth citizens on military assignments away from home and their families. The messages will run on Channel 13 and our website at www.fctv.org during Valentine week and will be accompanied by a list of Falmouth servicemen and servicewomen away from their loved ones on this special day.

Participants will be offered 30 seconds in front of the camera and microphone to record their message over their choice of a dozen Valentine backdrops. To participate, you must be a Falmouth resident or have a valentine message to send to a Falmouth resident overseas. Messages can be recorded by individuals or groups of no more than 10 persons. Call FCTV at 508-457-0800 Monday through Thursday from 2pm-10pm and Fridays from 10am-6pm to reserve a time slot to record your message on February 5 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Persons under the age of 18 must have expressed written consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate and all others must sign a release form.

There is also a donation box in the FCTV lobby for useful, helpful and entertaining items to be sent to the troops. For information about the kind of items needed, visit the Falmouth Military Support Group’s website: www.fmsgrp.org and click on “Troops Wish List.” Then bring in the items to be placed in our box for the troops!
