FCTV will offer several of its television production classes starting in July 2004. Each course concentrates on hands-on instruction in selected areas of video production. Areas of concentration include studio production for both live & taped TV shows, single camera and multiple camera field production and both linear tape and non-linear computer based editing.
ORIENTATION: Orientation is a 1 1/2 hour class offered each month to all new members and open to the public. There is no obligation to attend this one session course but it is mandatory for anyone wanting to take training or use FCTV facilities. Learn about FCTV.

TOWN HALL CONTROL ROOM WORKSHOP: This is a one session 2 hour workshop for volunteers who want to become involved in their community and the democratic process. Learn how to telecast important municipal meetings and serve democracy utilizing a state of the art multi-camera remote control room. The class meets at Falmouth's Town Hall in the Control Room located adjacent to the Selectmen Meeting room.

BASIC FIELD PRODUCTION: This basic course is designed for anyone interested in video field production for the purpose of creating their own public access television shows. There are four two-hour sessions meeting twice per week for two weeks. This course provides hands on training in the operation of Super VHS & Digital Mini-DV field camcorders and all optional accessories. Certification will be given upon completion of a final project in addition to scheduled classes.

ADVANCED FIELD PRODUCTION: This advanced two session course in video field production utilizes multiple field cameras on location, using Falmouth Community Television's Remote Production Van or Remote Field Case. The course consists of two 3 hour classes filled with hands on activities. This class simplifies the complex operations of both taped and live TV productions on location.

KIDS DIGITAL STORY TELLING ADVANCED WORKSHOP: This workshop is for kids ages 10 -16 who want to explore their family history and to design and produce a 3-5 minute digital story about their family.
