FCTV Fall 2004 Workshops

We're sorry to report that Russ Hannagan has left for greener pastures (East Bridgewater Community TV). Since he was responsible for most coursework, most courses have been canceled. Our new Operations and Training Director, David Finer, came on board Oct. 18, and fall workshops are just now beginning. Here's what we can announce as of today, October 27:

ORIENTATION: A class offered to all new members and open to the public. There is no obligation to attend this one session course but it is mandatory for anyone wanting to take other training or use FCTV facilities. Learn about more about FCTV in the orientation.

Fee: FREE
Limit: None, Newcomers Welcome
Instructor: David Finer
Prerequisite: None

Mon., Nov. 1 -- 7:00pm-8:30pm

FIELD PRODUCTION FOR SENIORS: This four-session class should enable you to use your camcorder (or the station's) along with other facilities to produce professional quality TV. Even if your main goal is to presrve images of your (grand)children, everyone should learn the mechanics of TV. The more you know of the production process, the more your viewers will value your efforts.

This class is not related to the SeniorNet courses also held at FCTV, which are mainly oriented to computer applications.

Fee: FREE
Limit: None, Newcomers Welcome
Instructor: TBA
Prerequisite: Orientation and Membership

Mon., Nov. 22 -- 2:00pm-4:00pm
Wed., Nov. 24 -- 2:00pm-4:00pm
Mon., Nov. 29 -- 2:00pm-4:00pm
Wed., Dec. 1 -- 2:00pm-4:00pm
